Imagine you meet someone whom says they believe in God, but believe that God used evolution to create what we see today.

How would you respond?

I recommend these pointers. First, realize your ears are more important than your mouth in witnessing. No one wants to hear you talk for 5 minutes, no matter what the subject. Begin by letting them talk. If they say they are a theistic evolutionist, politely ask them "why?"

Their most common response will be "why not?" I honestly hear that quite often. I recommend keeping them on the explaining end, you can tell them "I asked you first," and let them answer.

Another common answer you will hear from theistic evolutionists when they try to answer why they believe that, is "science." This is important: try to get them to get to the details. If they say science ask "what in science," if they say "fossils," ask "which fossils." Etc.

Why don’t I believe in Theistic Evolution? Two reasons, science does not show it and the Bible does not teach it. Ten times in Genesis chapter 1 God tells you He did not use Evolution. Ten times (count them) He tells you plants and animals reproduce after their own kind. The skeptic will tell you that Genesis is not literal, but remember, the Hebrews, the experts, took Genesis literally for thousands of years.
